Oscar Pistorius jail sentence: Steenkamp’s family okay with it.

Oscar Pistorius has been jailed for 5 years for culpable homicide. Tongues have been wagging that the punishment is way too light but those who are directly affected have different view about the judgement.

So what else do you want to hear, pals. You heard it all: "punishment is the right sentence" according to Reeva Steenkamp’s family. What else? Let's talk.

Is Oscar ever regretful of his actions which led to the death of a 'close' friend?
What are the circumstances that led to the shooting and the killing of Reeva?
Who was there when it all happened?

I may not be a judge but what I can say here is that even if you pick the best 'an eye for an eye' kind of judge, people will still wag tongues. There are a lot of things that are not known concerning the shooting incident but I want to tell you that if Pistorius was ever sincerely remorseful, sending him to serve even 50 years in jail would still mean 'light' penalty to him. At the instance of a genuine remorse, what would probably matter to him is the 'accidental' loss of his friend. I was among those that at first frowned at the 'cheap' punishment but then realised that even the judge is human and so cannot pass a perfect judgement, God judges differently.
