Integrity versus Wealth

Dear folks,

The news that have been making the rounds regarding crimes perpetrated by our own Nigerian brothers and sisters mostly from the three key ethnic groups in Nigeria is pathetic.

From drug peddling in Saudi Arabia ( https://deathpenaltynews.blogspot.com/2019/08/23-nigerian-drug-traffickers-on-death.html ) to email financial fraud in the US ( https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2019/08/charges-80-people-nigerians-46m-internet-scam-190823071850782.html ) among other criminal activities, the question that comes to mind is:

Where is our integrity?

It's obvious many of our people have traded integrity for wealth and other temporal aggrandisement, irrespective of their sources.

Anyway, it's not as if these people aren't aware of the grave consequences of their despicable actions but allowed themselves be beclouded by frivolities.

For them and others who care, here is a watchword I coined as a guide:

"Focus on integrity which begets other goodies including wealth because doing the contrary begets eternal sorrow".
